M\u011blo j\u00edt o mou prvn\u00ed zku\u0161enost s Vipassanou. Nem\u011bl jsem p\u0159\u00edli\u0161 o\u010dek\u00e1v\u00e1n\u00ed, ale p\u0159edstavoval jsem si \u010das v tichu, p\u0159\u00edsnou dietu a malou skupinu \u00fa\u010dastn\u00edk\u016f. Praxe Vipassany je zn\u00e1m\u00e1 sv\u00fdm p\u0159\u00edsn\u00fdm rozvrhem, \u010dasto zahrnuj\u00edc\u00ed 10-11 hodin meditace denn\u011b, za\u010d\u00ednaj\u00edc\u00ed ji\u017e v 5 hodin r\u00e1no. Podle rozvrhu na webov\u00fdch str\u00e1nk\u00e1ch kl\u00e1\u0161tera jsem vypo\u010d\u00edtal zhruba \u010dty\u0159i hodiny veden\u00e9 meditace denn\u011b a p\u0159edpokl\u00e1dal jsem, \u017ee to bude m\u00e9n\u011b n\u00e1ro\u010dn\u00fd pobyt ne\u017e medita\u010dn\u00ed ustran\u00ed, kter\u00e1 jsem absolvoval v zen-buddhistick\u00e9 nebo \u010dist\u011b mindfulness tradici.<\/p><p>Po p\u0159\u00edjezdu m\u011b p\u0159ekvapila rozlehlost chr\u00e1mov\u00e9ho are\u00e1lu a po\u010det \u00fa\u010dastn\u00edk\u016f. Registrace byla dob\u0159e organizovan\u00e1 a ka\u017ed\u00fd p\u0159\u00edchoz\u00ed obdr\u017eel jasn\u00e9 pokyny ohledn\u011b pravidel, proto\u017ee \u0161lo o medita\u010dn\u00ed pobyt v aktivn\u00edm buddhistick\u00e9m kl\u00e1\u0161te\u0159e. Pravidla zahrnovala z\u00e1kaz drog, alkoholu, kou\u0159en\u00ed a sexu\u00e1ln\u00edho nevhodn\u00e9ho chov\u00e1n\u00ed a tak\u00e9 nutnost vyvarovat se le\u017een\u00ed na kr\u00e1sn\u011b udr\u017eovan\u00fdch tr\u00e1vn\u00edc\u00edch ploch\u00e1ch, kde bylo povoleno pouze sezen\u00ed. Pr\u016fm\u011brn\u011b se pobytu \u00fa\u010dastnilo kolem 130 lid\u00ed, co\u017e byl rekordn\u00ed po\u010det za 30letou historii tohoto chr\u00e1mu. Lze z toho vyvodit, \u017ee lid\u00e9 v\u0161eho v\u011bku, vyzn\u00e1n\u00ed a n\u00e1bo\u017eenstv\u00ed hledaj\u00ed vn\u00edt\u0159n\u00ed rovnov\u00e1hu, klid a radost\u2014dar, kter\u00fd meditace nab\u00edz\u00ed, v\u00edce ne\u017e tomu bylo v minulosti.<\/p><p>Are\u00e1l kl\u00e1\u0161tera byl dokonale p\u0159izp\u016fsoben takov\u00e9mu po\u010dtu \u00fa\u010dastn\u00edk\u016f. Prost\u0159ed\u00ed bylo pe\u010dliv\u011b udr\u017eovan\u00e9, s mal\u00fdm jez\u00edrkem pln\u00fdm ryb a \u00fa\u017easn\u00fdm v\u00fdhledem na hory. Nov\u011b p\u0159\u00edchoz\u00ed byli ubytov\u00e1ni ve velk\u00fdch m\u00edstnostech, p\u0159\u00edpadn\u011b mohli po\u017e\u00e1dat o sd\u00edlen\u00fd kuti (chatu) pro v\u011bt\u0161\u00ed soukrom\u00ed a klid na osobn\u00ed meditaci. Ubytov\u00e1n\u00ed zahrnovalo centimetr silnou podlo\u017eku, mal\u00fd pol\u0161t\u00e1\u0159 a dv\u011b deky, spolu s b\u00edlou ko\u0161il\u00ed a kalhotami, kter\u00e9 jsou sou\u010d\u00e1st\u00ed tradice Vipassany. Sp\u00e1nek na tvrd\u00e9m povrchu m\u016f\u017ee b\u00fdt n\u00e1ro\u010dn\u00fd pro ty, kte\u0159\u00ed jsou zvykl\u00ed na m\u011bkk\u00e9 matrace, ale pom\u00e1h\u00e1 rovnat z\u00e1da a podporuje p\u0159\u00edstup, kdy nepohodl\u00ed p\u0159ij\u00edm\u00e1me bez soud\u016f, a kultivujeme tak hodnotnou cnost pokory. Ji\u017e druhou noc jsem toto ubytov\u00e1n\u00ed za\u010dal poci\u0165ovat jako p\u0159ekvapiv\u011b uspokojuj\u00edc\u00ed a uzemn\u011bn\u00e9. A\u010dkoliv jsem m\u011bl v zavazadle nafukovac\u00ed matraci, rozhodl jsem se ji nepou\u017e\u00edt a pln\u011b se pono\u0159it do t\u00e9to zku\u0161enosti, v\u010detn\u011b ob\u010dasn\u00e9ho hluku spolunocle\u017en\u00edk\u016f, a nevyu\u017e\u00edt mo\u017enost osobn\u00ed chaty.<\/p><p>V \u00fastran\u00ed jsem z\u016fstal \u0161est dn\u00ed. D\u00e9lka pobytu je ponech\u00e1na na rozhodnut\u00ed jednotlivce. P\u011bt dn\u00ed jsem z\u016fstal v tichu a posledn\u00ed den jsem nechal p\u0159\u00edpadn\u00e9 hovory p\u0159irozen\u011b plynout. A\u010dkoliv jsou \u00fa\u010dastn\u00edci vyzv\u00e1ni k dodr\u017eov\u00e1n\u00ed ticha, nen\u00ed povinn\u00fdm, co\u017e ocenila zejm\u00e9na mlad\u0161\u00ed generace, proto\u017ee jim to umo\u017enilo sd\u00edlet zku\u0161enosti a emoce. Dal\u0161\u00ed jedine\u010dnost\u00ed tohoto pobytu je, \u017ee nem\u00e1 stanoven\u00fd poplatek; funguje na b\u00e1zi p\u0159\u00edsp\u011bvku naz\u00fdvan\u00e9ho \"d\u0101na.\" Tento p\u0159\u00edsp\u011bvek by m\u011bl odpov\u00eddat finan\u010dn\u00edm mo\u017enostem jednotlivce.<\/p><p>Medita\u010dn\u00ed sezen\u00ed byla v\u00fdjime\u010dn\u00e1. Meditovat spole\u010dn\u011b se 130 \u00fa\u010dastn\u00edky z cel\u00e9ho sv\u011bta a mnichy lesn\u00edho kl\u00e1\u0161tera, kte\u0159\u00ed zasv\u011btili \u017eivot t\u00e9to praxi, vytv\u00e1\u0159elo hlubokou a jedine\u010dnou atmosf\u00e9ru. Ka\u017ed\u00e9 sezen\u00ed se skl\u00e1dalo z p\u0159ibli\u017en\u011b 40 minut meditace v ch\u016fzi, 20-25 minut  meditace v sed\u011b a 10 minut meditace v le\u017ee\u2014co\u017e bylo dob\u0159e zvl\u00e1dnuteln\u00e9 i pro za\u010d\u00e1te\u010dn\u00edky. Tento pobyt v\u0159ele doporu\u010duji ka\u017cd\u00e9mu, kdo je v meditaci nov\u00fd, nebo hled\u00e1 p\u0159\u00edstupn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed formu medita\u010dn\u00edho pobytu v Thajsku. Mni\u0161i poskytovali jasn\u00e9 pokyny v angli\u010dtin\u011b a nab\u00edzeli inspirativn\u00ed Dhamma p\u0159edn\u00e1\u0161ky o buddhistick\u00fdch u\u010den\u00edch. Ve\u010dern\u00ed aktivity zahrnovaly hodinov\u00e9 zp\u00edv\u00e1n\u00ed manter v angli\u010dtin\u011b a thaj\u0161tin\u011b, n\u00e1sledovan\u00e9 meditac\u00ed.<\/p><p>\u0158\u00e1d kl\u00e1\u0161tera projevoval laskavost a ve\u0161ker\u00e1 snaha byla zam\u011b\u0159ena na to, aby se \u00fa\u010dastn\u00edci c\u00edtili ope\u010dov\u00e1v\u00e1ni, spolu s medita\u010dn\u00ed k\u00e1zn\u00ed a discipl\u00ednou. J\u00eddlo\u2014lahodn\u00e9 vegetari\u00e1nsk\u00e9 thajsk\u00e9 pokrmy\u2014byly pod\u00e1v\u00e1ny dvakr\u00e1t denn\u011b a ka\u017ed\u00fd se mohl naj\u00edst do sytosti. Absence j\u00eddla po 12. Hodin\u011b dopoledn\u00ed mohla b\u00fdt vy\u0159e\u0161ena ob\u010derstven\u00edm z kiosku v are\u00e1lu. Kr\u00e1sn\u00e9 byly tak\u00e9 meditace v ch\u016fzi, od pomalej\u0161\u00ed meditace kolem kl\u00e1\u0161tern\u00edho parku po energi\u010dt\u011bj\u0161\u00ed odpoledn\u00ed meditaci v ch\u016fzi kolem lesn\u00ed jeskyn\u011b.<\/p><p>Sou\u010d\u00e1st\u00ed pobytu byla i hodina pr\u00e1ce neboli \"seva,\" sanskrtsk\u00fd term\u00edn pro nesobeckou slu\u017ebu. Pr\u00e1ce se li\u0161ily od zamet\u00e1n\u00ed, pomoci v kuchyni, pran\u00ed pr\u00e1dla a dal\u0161\u00edch pot\u0159ebn\u00fdch prac\u00ed, kter\u00e9 vyjad\u0159ovaly v\u011bdom\u00e9, dobrovoln\u00e9 p\u0159\u00edsp\u00edv\u00e1n\u00ed a spole\u010denstv\u00ed. Jak \u010dasto praktikujeme nesobeckou slu\u017ebu ve sv\u00fdch ka\u017edodenn\u00edch \u017eivotech?<\/p><p>Zvl\u00e1\u0161t\u011b jsem si tak\u00e9 u\u017e\u00edval ka\u017edodenn\u00ed kladen\u00ed ot\u00e1zek mnich\u016fm po odpoledn\u00ed meditaci. A\u010dkoliv jsem nem\u011bl vlastn\u00ed dotazy, byl jsem zv\u011bdav\u00fd, co zaj\u00edm\u00e1 ostatn\u00ed, a jak mni\u0161i odpov\u00eddaj\u00ed. Jedno v\u00fdrazn\u011b opakuj\u00edc\u00ed se t\u00e9ma byl hn\u011bv, obzvl\u00e1\u0161t\u011b mezi mlad\u0161\u00edmi \u00fa\u010dastn\u00edky ve v\u011bku 20-25 let. Mnoz\u00ed vyjad\u0159ovali frustraci z glob\u00e1ln\u00ed nespravedlnosti, v\u00e1lek a devastace \u017eivotn\u00edho prost\u0159ed\u00ed, pova\u017euj\u00edce sv\u016fj hn\u011bv za hnac\u00ed s\u00edlu pro pozitivn\u00ed zm\u011bnu a \u00fasp\u011bch ve vlastn\u00edm \u017eivot\u011b. K jejich p\u0159ekvapen\u00ed mnichova prvn\u00ed odpov\u011b\u010f z\u011bn\u011bla jednodu\u0161e: \"Ne, nen\u00ed to pro v\u00e1s ani pro va\u0161e okol\u00ed dobr\u00e9,\" doprov\u00e1zen\u00e1 sm\u00edchem a bez dal\u0161\u00edho vysv\u011btlen\u00ed. N\u00e1sleduj\u00edc\u00ed den b\u011bhem Dhamma p\u0159edn\u00e1\u0161ky bylo toto t\u00e9ma rozeb\u00edr\u00e1no hloub\u011bji, s d\u016frazem na to, \u017ee hn\u011bv\u2014by\u0165 p\u0159irozen\u00fd\u2014je ve sv\u00e9 podstat\u011b \u0161kodliv\u00fd a zako\u0159en\u011bn\u00fd v utrpen\u00ed. To na m\u011b hluboce zap\u016fsobilo a zd\u016fraznilo d\u016fle\u017eitost pracovat s emocemi pomoc\u00ed v\u011bdom\u00e9 pozornosti a pochopen\u00ed.<\/p><p>\u00dastran\u00ed nab\u00edzelo vynikaj\u00edc\u00ed z\u00e1klad pro medita\u010dn\u00ed praxi, bez ohledu na n\u00e1bo\u017eensk\u00e9 vyzn\u00e1n\u00ed \u00fa\u010dastn\u00edk\u016f. A\u010dkoliv Vipassana vych\u00e1z\u00ed z buddhistick\u00fdch tradic, m\u016f\u017ee ji praktikovat ka\u017ed\u00fd, s Mindfulness neboli v\u0161\u00edmavost\u00ed jako sv\u00fdm z\u00e1kladn\u00edm kamenem. N\u011bkdy bylo obt\u00ed\u017en\u00e9 sladit dogmatick\u00e9 pohledy Budhismu vych\u00e1zej\u00edc\u00ed z  kl\u00e1\u0161tern\u00edho prost\u0159ed\u00ed s \u017eivotem v modern\u00ed spole\u010dnosti, a t\u00edm p\u00e1dem se tak vysv\u011bstlov\u00e1n\u00ed mnich\u016f mlad\u00fdm lidem \u010dasto m\u00edjelo \u00fa\u010dinkem, nebo vyvol\u00e1valo zmaten\u00ed a nedorozum\u011bn\u00ed.<\/p><p>V tomto vid\u00edm z\u00e1sadn\u00ed rozd\u00edl v sekul\u00e1rn\u00edm pohledu na mindfulness, kter\u00fd jsem p\u0159ijal skrze MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction). Tento kontrast pos\u00edlil m\u016fj vd\u011bk za jasnost a inkluzivitu MBSR, kter\u00e9 propojuje mindfulness s modern\u00ed v\u011bdou a psychologi\u00ed a nab\u00edz\u00ed n\u00e1stroje pro zvl\u00e1d\u00e1n\u00ed stresu, bolesti a emoc\u00ed bez n\u00e1bo\u017eensk\u00fdch nebo dogmatick\u00fdch r\u00e1mc\u016f.<\/p><p><strong>Podstata medita\u010dn\u00edch retreat\u016f<\/strong><\/p><p>Medita\u010dn\u00ed retreaty nab\u00edzej\u00ed p\u0159\u00edle\u017eitost vystoupit z neust\u00e1l\u00fdch po\u017eadavk\u016f ka\u017edodenn\u00edho \u017eivota, egem \u0159\u00edzen\u00fdch p\u0159\u00edb\u011bh\u016f a nep\u0159etr\u017eit\u00e9ho honu za \u00fasp\u011bchem a uzn\u00e1n\u00edm. Zvou n\u00e1s k v\u011bdom\u00e9mu p\u0159echodu do stavu byt\u00ed \u2013 prostoru, kde se ch\u016fze, sezen\u00ed, d\u00fdch\u00e1n\u00ed a pozorov\u00e1n\u00ed st\u00e1vaj\u00ed jedin\u00fdm zam\u011b\u0159en\u00edm. Tato jednoduchost n\u00e1m umo\u017e\u0148uje v\u0161\u00edmat si, jemn\u011b uchopovat a opou\u0161t\u011bt my\u0161lenky, pocity a emoce, p\u011bstovat tak uv\u011bdom\u011bn\u00ed bez p\u0159ipoutanosti. Prost\u0159ednictv\u00edm tohoto procesu se znovu propojujeme sami se sebou a z\u00edsk\u00e1v\u00e1me vhled do hloubky, podstaty, p\u0159irozen\u00e9ho klidu a radosti ze \u017eivota, kter\u00e9 modern\u00ed shon a rozpt\u00fdlen\u00ed zakr\u00fdvaj\u00ed.<\/p><p>Prav\u00e9 napln\u011bn\u00ed nep\u0159ich\u00e1z\u00ed z honby za prchav\u00fdmi po\u017eitky nebo uspokojov\u00e1n\u00edm tu\u017eeb, ale z p\u0159ijet\u00ed pom\u00edjivosti \u017eivota s klidem. Pustit \u201ed\u016fle\u017eit\u00e9\u201c my\u0161lenky a touhy n\u00e1s u\u010d\u00ed vn\u00edmat je jako pom\u00edjiv\u00e9 jevy \u2013 nikoli jako ur\u010duj\u00edc\u00ed sou\u010d\u00e1sti na\u0161\u00ed identity. Tento hlubok\u00fd posun, \u00fast\u0159edn\u00ed pro praxi mindfulness, souzn\u00ed s moudrost\u00ed buddhistick\u00e9 psychologie a odkr\u00fdv\u00e1 p\u0159\u00ed\u010diny utrpen\u00ed.<\/p><p><strong>Ctnosti jsou chr\u00e1n\u011bny sv\u00fdmi vlastn\u00edmi ctnostmi<\/strong><\/p><p>Na ceduli v lese pobl\u00ed\u017e kl\u00e1\u0161tera bylo naps\u00e1no: \u201eCtnosti jsou chr\u00e1n\u011bny sv\u00fdmi vlastn\u00edmi ctnostmi.\u201c Tato hlubok\u00e1 pravda n\u00e1s vyb\u00edz\u00ed k zamy\u0161len\u00ed nad podstatou ctnost\u00ed a jejich rol\u00ed v na\u0161em \u017eivot\u011b. Ctnosti, nebo-li hodnoty jako jsou laskavost, trp\u011blivost, \u010destnost a soucit, p\u0159irozen\u011b chr\u00e1n\u00ed samy sebe. Kdy\u017e tyto kvality p\u011bstujeme a zt\u011bles\u0148ujeme, vytv\u00e1\u0159ej\u00ed cyklus, kter\u00fd n\u00e1s chr\u00e1n\u00ed p\u0159ed ni\u010div\u00fdmi silami chamtivosti, hn\u011bvu a nev\u011bdomosti.<\/p><p>Podle buddhismu se v n\u00e1s negativn\u00ed vlastnosti rozv\u00edjej\u00ed mnohem rychleji ne\u017e ty pozitivn\u00ed. Negativita se \u0161\u00ed\u0159\u00ed a je naka\u017eliv\u00e1, stejn\u011b jako pozitivita. Proto je velice d\u016fle\u017eit\u00e9 udr\u017eovat medita\u010dn\u00ed praxi jako p\u0159ipom\u00ednku p\u011bstov\u00e1n\u00ed a rozvoje na\u0161ich pozitivn\u00edch hodnot a ctnost\u00ed, kter\u00e9 ur\u010duj\u00ed kvalitu na\u0161eho \u017eivota. Pravideln\u00fdm zapojov\u00e1n\u00edm se do meditace vytv\u00e1\u0159\u00edme prostor pro rozv\u00edjen\u00ed t\u011bchto kvalit, co\u017e zaji\u0161\u0165uje, \u017ee budou vzkv\u00e9tat navzdory v\u00fdzv\u00e1m ka\u017edodenn\u00edho \u017eivota. D\u00edky konzistentn\u00ed praxi nejen\u017ee ctnosti chr\u00e1n\u00ed samy sebe, ale tak\u00e9 povzn\u00e1\u0161ej\u00ed a inspiruj\u00ed ostatn\u00ed, podporuj\u00ed harmonii a odolnost v propojen\u00e9m sv\u011bt\u011b.<\/p><p>P\u011bstov\u00e1n\u00edm ctnost\u00ed p\u0159irozen\u011b p\u0159itahujeme pozitivitu a podporujeme harmonii v sob\u011b i ve vztahu k ostatn\u00edm. St\u00e1vaj\u00ed se na\u0161\u00edm kompasem, kter\u00fd n\u00e1s prov\u00e1z\u00ed \u017eivotn\u00edmi v\u00fdzvami s integritou a odolnost\u00ed. B\u00fdt si v\u011bdom sv\u00fdch ctnost\u00ed a pe\u010dovat o n\u011b znamen\u00e1 budovat z\u00e1klady vnit\u0159n\u00ed s\u00edly a moudrosti. V obt\u00ed\u017en\u00fdch chv\u00edl\u00edch n\u00e1m p\u0159ipom\u00ednaj\u00ed n\u00e1\u0161 vy\u0161\u0161\u00ed smysl a kr\u00e1su \u017eivota s \u00famyslem a uv\u011bdom\u011bn\u00edm.
